Half-Day Kanazawa Geisha, Historic Shima & Tea Walking Tour $350 per group (up to 4 people) Private *Walking Guide Tour

Available only on Saturdays, except July and August

Step into the exclusive, closed world of Kanazawa geisha culture on this intimate Saturday walking tour, strictly limited to 4 guests. In the historic Edo period, even powerful samurai were strictly forbidden from entering these legendary tea houses without proper connections—making the traditional ichigen-san o-kotowari (no first-time customers) policy an insurmountable barrier. Today, however, you have a rare, privileged opportunity to bridge centuries of tradition. Stroll the preserved cobblestone lanes of the Higashi Chaya district, visit the National Important Cultural Property Shima Teahouse Museum, and immerse yourself in an unforgettable live geisha performance featuring traditional dance, ozashiki drums, and playful interactive tatami games. Complete your cultural journey with a tranquil, authentic matcha tea experience at a local artisan teahouse.
