K-Samurai Tours Philosophy
The "K" in our name represents my family initial, but it also honors the historical regions of this area, such as Kaga, Kaetsu, and Koshi-no-Kuni (modern-day Toyama).
The Hokuriku and Hida regions share deep historical ties with the Kaga Domain. I believe that the richness of this culture cannot be fully captured within the borders of a single prefecture. This region, centered around Kaga, is a unique tapestry woven from Samurai heritage, the elegance of Kyoto’s court noble culture, and the strong, resilient spirit of local farming communities. It is, in a sense, a microcosm of Japanese culture as a whole.
I truly realized the uniqueness of this region only after traveling abroad. Witnessing the magnificent heritage and the way history shapes people’s lives in other countries allowed me to see my own home through a new lens. Now, my mission is to share the wonders of Japan with the world, helping our guests appreciate the beauty of cultural differences and the profound meaning behind our history.

While I have spent a significant part of my career as an English lecturer at universities and other institutions, my passion for travel and cultural exchange has always been at the heart of my professional journey. My diverse background—ranging from tourism operations to high-level interpretation—allows me to provide a travel experience that is both insightful and seamless.

Deep Industry Knowledge: With several years of experience working for a travel agency in the Kanto region, I have a thorough understanding of the logistics and hospitality required for a successful trip.
Global Interpretation Experience: I have served as an interpreter and guide for Japanese tourists abroad and have escorted corporate delegations on international inspection tours, ensuring smooth communication in complex environments.
Specialized Training: To provide the highest standard of service, I have completed the "Toyama Kanko Juku" (Tourism Academy) and participated in specialized seminars hosted by the U.S. Embassy. I am a Licensed Guide-Interpreter.
Currently based in the Hokuriku region, I specialize in guiding international guests—from solo travelers to larger groups. My goal is to combine my pedagogical skills with my extensive industry expertise to offer you a profound and authentic discovery of Japan.
